A NOTE ABOUT NATURAL GAS APPLIANCES: Some   states   (including   but   not   limited   to   MA) require       portable       generators       that       are connected    to    a    home’s    gas    supply    (even temporarily)   to   be   listed   devices.   Other   states default   to   the   International   Fuel   Gas   Code   and allow   non-listed   outdoor   only   devices   such   as outdoor    natural    gas    grills,    heat    lamps    and other   accessories   to   be   installed   as   permitted by    your    town    and    local    inspector.        Please check   first   with   your   local   inspector   if   you   are not sure.

All off our “HX” Models work with our optional APC/HONDA programmable auto load shedding 120Vac transfer switch kits.  Our kits aren’t just the basic switch, but come complete with an outdoor water tight power inlet install package- just pick 20A or 30A version to match 2000 or 3000Watt generator!

This switch, designed by APC and HONDA will automatically shed less needed loads to make sure there’s enough power to start critical loads. Then it automatically turns the other loads back on as more power becomes available! For instance, it will automatically turn off your fridge and freezer for 10min while you make popcorn in your microwave - even with a 2000Watt Honda or Yamaha!
